Tips I Have Learned About Foot Soaks

Image
Over the years, I have done so many foot soaks. I have even got my children enjoying this practice. The first thing I was surprised to learn in my Foot Care textbook was that foot soaks should only be 10-15mins maximum. For Diabetics, even less, a maximum of 5 minutes!      Frequent, or lengthy, foot soaks can actually dry out your feet . It is best to add some oils to your water to prevent drying your skin.      Well I am a huge fan of nice long baths as well... And over the last couple years I have noticed my heels getting dry, even minor fissures there along the edges of my heel!      With this new knowledge, I looked up what oils are known to be good for feet . I came across this great page and plan to buy a few of the oils suggested here: https://www.gohomerelax.com/best-essential-oils-foot-spa/ Happy soaking and caring correctly for those wonderful feet of yours!

My Knowledge and Experience From Everyday Life

I feel like my own life, before taking any professional training about foot care, has given me good experience already. This working man has rough-tough heels big time. I love the times I get to give him a good soak, scrubbing, filing and moisturizing.      My own feet, over the years as an LPN, have been extremely sore . I also had stinky, sweaty feet as well for a long time. I finally invested in good Birkenstock shoes which honestly is the ...

For The Love of Feet

Anyone who has spent a lot of time with me (my coworkers for sure) have heard me talk many times over the years about how much I would love to take the foot care course as an LPN. I really love feet and always have. I love my own feet, my husbands feet, and I love helping people in the hospital who really need a good foot-scrub to do so. I love to see the difference I can make, and would love to learn more.      I had been concerned about the extra costs of travel and time away from my family to take the Professional foot care course. After saying this for so long (that I would love to take the professional foot care course), a coworker let me know there was a correspondence course I could take. Since I found out about that, I have made it my goal to save up for it. Finances, since having kids, got a little out of hand but this has always been my top financial goal. Finally, I am proud to say that now I have saved up enou...
